Kelly and Jonathan’s Mission District Charmer — House Tour on AT San Fran

This post is for my BFF Katrina who graciously allowed me to make these turd-filled baby shower invitations for her a few months ago:

alltogether2

Katrina flew off to live in Cali, 5 months preggers, without me. She is due to have a bouncing baby boy in early February. I desperately need to be there RIGHTNOW to decorate the nursery. But, since she is inconveniently located 2,640 miles away from me, this blog will suffice as a go-between for nursery inspiration.

So, here are some photos of nurseries that I like a lot. They might not go along the same lines of what you were thinking (…bright colors?) but they are mostly gorgeous and hopefully inspiring! You can click on the images to see more.

I saw this particular nursery awhile back and was stupid enough not to bookmark it…after some searching, I FINALLY found it again. Oh yeah–and the couple that owns this room lives in Hickory, NC (Katrina’s hometown)! Found via Urban Grace Interiors.

I know you are having a boy but I absolutely love this room. It’s really unique and well put together…but not matchy matchy.

This one’s obviously for an older child, but I’ve been lovin’ lots of white with splashes of color. Modern and clean–also atypical for a nursery. This way you can really make a few things you love stand out without over doing it, like if you find an awesome bright rug or fun and bold pillows you love.

The following is the Senior Graphic Designer for Urban Outfitter’s (jealous) nursery for his baby girl. I’m not so hot for the entire room, but there’s a few things I’m dyin’ over. #1: Weiner dog lamp. #2: Amazing vintage yellow crib. #3 Adorable, easily DIY-ed mobile. Via Ohdeedoh.

Cute set-up, again, yellow+grey, again for a girl. Oh well. Via

FINALLY! A boy’s room with bright colors.

And another, while I don’t love the entire room, there’s a couple great aspects. The painting above the crib is wonderfullll (think you could do that yourself, Trina? Hahhaa…) and the crib itself is simple and cute. And the mobile! Ohmigosh.

Okay one last grey+yellow because it’s amazing (as is the rest of J. Crew Creative Director Jenna Lyon’s home). Via Habitually Chic.

If you aren’t willing to get one of these, I will just have to purchase it for you. They are too freakin cute to pass up. Found via Young House Love.

That was long and exhausting. There’s more to come in this department.
